Although we hadn’t planned on being there so long, we spent 3 nights at achor there, going ashore, doing some boat tasks, relaxing, and Lucie even went swimming although the water temperature was only in the 50’s.

So far, we’ve mainly had beautiful weather with little of the fog that Nova Scotia is famous for. Daytime temps have been in the 70’s to low 80’s, and cooling off into the 50’s at night for comfortable sleeping.

Carter’s Beach

Chillin

Yesterday, we did a short trip up to Brooklyn/Liverpool to go to a dock to refill water, get showers and reprovision. Actually we went grocery shopping, but since it’s on a boat, everything has to have a special word, so we reprovisioned. The main claim to fame for Brooklyn, NS is that it is the birthplace of Hank Snow, for all you country music buffs.

The people here are extremely friendly and half the marina seems like they have already come by to say hello and give us advice on where to eat and what to do. I had to change the oil in WildHorse’s motor a couple of days ago, and when I asked our dock neighbor where I could go to dispose of the used oil, he said “oh, just give it to me and I’ll take it to the service station next time I go”. Seems like that’s how people are here!

Heading into Liverpool Bay. That lighthous is one of the oldest on the East Coast of North America.

We are planning to set out in the morning for La Have, where there are many islands that are supposedly beautiful as well. Dont’ forget to subscribe to get updates and check our Where Are We page!

["post-267","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
