{"id":292,"date":"2023-09-18T10:36:47","date_gmt":"2023-09-18T09:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wildhorse.fun\/?p=292"},"modified":"2024-06-10T14:35:12","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T13:35:12","slug":"nova-scotia-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wildhorse.fun\/?p=292","title":{"rendered":"Nova Scotia Summer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Well, we are back in the USA, leaving Nova Scotia on September 8. \u00a0The evenings were starting to get chilly, in the 50\u2019s (teens celsius) and we have had to put the heater on occasionally first thing in the morning. \u00a0Also Hurricane Lee was threatening and it seemed prudent to get the hell out of Dodge. \u00a0We have had a fun and adventurous time up here. \u00a0I know that it\u2019s been a while since our last post, so we will be posting a few new ones in the coming days, breaking up our trip into smaller pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the beautiful Port Mouton, we headed a short distance up the coast to the little village of La Have. \u00a0They have a famous bakery and market there and also have moorings for rent. It\u2019s a little way up the La Have river. We got there just after they closed (4pm) and when we went ashore, they were still closing up the bakery and didn\u2019t have any way for us to pay for the mooring, but instead gave us some free bread and scones. \u00a0Nova Scotians are nice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_0632.jpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/wildhorse.fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_0632.jpeg\" alt=\"IMG 0632\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Lahave Bakery, welcoming us from the water<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The next morning we went to the bakery and actually bought some things, then went for a walk around town.
